The Fethiye–Marmaris–Fethiye route is an eight-day private gulet itinerary that departs from and returns to Fethiye. It crosses the Gulf of Fethiye to Marmaris, with stops at Tersane Island, Aga Port, Kadırga Port and Ekincik Bay with the Dalyan Delta, then returns past the Yassıca Islands and Göcek. Day 1 - Fethiye
On arrival in Fethiye, spend the afternoon exploring this charming coastal town before boarding your gulet. Shopping and local attractions leave plenty of time to enjoy. Chat with your chef about any special dishes you would like during the voyage. Dinner is served onboard, in the marina or in a bay, as your first night under the Mediterranean stars begins.
Day 2 - Tersane Island – Aga Port
Tersane Island, also known as Shipyard Island, is one of the largest islands in the Gulf of Fethiye. Its bay has a 100-metre-deep channel that once served the Ottoman navy, and the Summer Harbour lies on its eastern side. The western part sees less activity because strong winds persist. Nearby, the ancient ruins of Telandria make an easy stop for history lovers.
Aga Port consists of twin bays, a haven for sailors and nature lovers, ideal for anchoring, swimming, fishing and sunbathing. An underwater freshwater spring flowing down from the mountains keeps the water refreshingly cool, and the sea is remarkably clear. A scenic one-hour walk leads inland to the ancient city of Lyda.
Day 3 - Kadırga Port – Marmaris
Kadırga Port, along the route between Fethiye and Marmaris, is a secluded bay known for crystal-clear water and lush surroundings. Historically it was a strategic harbour for the Ottoman navy. Today it offers swimming, nature and a peaceful place to relax.
Marmaris is a vibrant coastal town in southwestern Turkey, renowned for its beaches and lively nightlife. Its charming marina is filled with yachts and traditional wooden boats, and the bustling bazaar is ideal for local crafts and souvenirs. Historic sites such as Marmaris Castle add to its cultural appeal.
Day 4 - Ekincik (Dalyan) – Yassıca Islands
Ekincik Bay, between Marmaris and Dalyan, is where the gulet anchors. From there, river boats run up the Dalyan channel to the Lycian rock tombs, the ruins of Kaunos and Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach, which is closed at night to protect loggerhead turtle nests. A walk along the western banks of the delta may bring you face to face with wild boars.
Yassıca Islands, in the Gulf of Fethiye, are uninhabited and perfect for swimming, exploring and leisurely sailing. Some islands sit so close together that you can swim from one to another. The beaches are stony, so bring suitable footwear. Stay for sunset, when the scenery becomes breathtakingly romantic.
Day 5 - Domuz Island – Sarsala Bay
Domuz Island, just off the coast of Fethiye, is a charming, secluded spot with stunning rocky landscapes and crystal-clear water. Its name means "pig" in Turkish. Its untouched beauty offers hiking and hidden coves to discover.
Sarsala Bay is a favourite among yachtsmen, offering excellent swimming and a tranquil setting for overnight anchoring. A lush valley winds through dense forest, perfect for nature walks and hidden trails. The beach is mostly stony, so come prepared with suitable footwear.
Day 6 - Göcek
Göcek is a charming coastal town in southwestern Turkey, known for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Surrounded by pine forests and turquoise water, it is a popular base for yachting and sailing. The picturesque marina is lined with boats, and waterfront restaurants serve fresh seafood. Göcek is also the gateway to the Twelve Islands, an archipelago perfect for exploring by boat.

Day 7 - Kızıl Island – Samanlık Bay
Kızıl Island is truly enchanting at sunset. Its name means "red", reflecting its distinctive reddish soil, and the rocks ignite in a brilliant crimson hue. It is uninhabited except for a lighthouse on its southern tip. To the northwest lie the Deliktaş Isles, perfect for anchoring, swimming and fishing.
Samanlık Bay, a short distance from Fethiye, is a serene cove with crystal-clear water in many shades of blue. Less crowded than many beaches, it suits those seeking tranquillity.
Day 8 - Fethiye
You leave the boat by 10:00 after breakfast, and the route ends in Fethiye. The gulfs, bays and islands of the week will stay in your memory. Fethiye's charm will linger, and until the next voyage, wishing you a safe journey home.
