About Optimist
Optimist is a 24-metre traditional gulet built in 2006 and refitted in 2017, chartered privately with her crew on the Turkish coast around Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek and Bodrum, and to the nearby Greek islands. She takes up to 8 guests in 4 air-conditioned cabins (2 master cabins and 2 double cabins), each with its own shower and WC. A crew of 4 looks after you: the captain, a cook and deckhands.
Life on board centres on the deck: a cushioned aft deck with a big table for long lunches, a sun deck with mattresses under an awning and a deck shower for after a swim. For active days she carries water skis, a canoe, a paddle board, a ringo, snorkelling gear and fishing gear.
In 2027 Optimist costs €1,400 a day in May and October, €1,500 in June, €1,715 in September and €2,000 in July and August. With 8 guests that works out at about €175 to €250 per person per day. Two master cabins make her an easy fit for couples travelling together.
Similar 4-cabin gulets in our fleet include Su Perisi C (22 m, from €1,400 a day) and Grand Sailor (24 m, from €1,400 a day). All three start at €1,400 a day.
Her starting price is about 30% below the typical (median) price of the 36 4-cabin gulets in our fleet (€2,000 a day). Booking in May or October instead of July or August saves about 30% on the daily rate.
Where will you sleep?
4 cabins for up to 8 guests. The crew of 4 has its own quarters.
